Corn, Tomatoes and Cucumbers

While camping, we dined on corn, tomatoes and cucumbers. What a treat. I wish I could say they were from our garden but they weren't. They were sure good though. Bought from a stand not a store.

New Great Grandson!

He was born July 14 and belongs to my grandson JJ who is Monica's oldest. JJ lives in Indiana with his wife Sam. The baby's name is John Rockford Riehle. All first born sons in the Riehle family have the name of John. Just a family tradition I guess. Now I have 3 great grandchildren!

News

Randy just loves camping and is camping until Aug 1. I am up there most of the time as well. We can dump our sewage at Cabala's. We ate at Cabala's and bought some water storage jugs there and then went back to the campsite. They have fresh water aquariums which I took photos of them but they didn't turn out very well. Tomorrow I am bringing fresh corn up to the campsite and some tomatoes and cucumbers as well. I wish I could say they were from our garden, but no, I don't grow anything anymore. Tonight I am going to a ABBA concert at the Scera Shell. They aren't really ABBA but a group copying them. have had a lot of aches and pains lately and it's been getting me down a little. I can't take some over the counter meds because they make me nauseous or cause stomach bleeding. I actually do much better with lortab as far as the side effects go but I haven't taken them for a long time. I hate to go back on them but maybe I will have to. I love life now but this pain sure gets in the way.

Car Show

I went to a car show in American Fork. Matt had his Blazer there. He has fixed it up really nice. It used to belong to Scott Wilkins who ran the little grocery store on 4th North in Orem. Here are some photos of Matt and his girls and his Blazer and other vehicles as well.

Racoon!

We have put food out for our little new cat and it has been disappearing even when he isn't outside. Last night John and Kathy saw a racoon on the patio. Now we know who the culprit is.

Coming Home

On our way home from our vacation, we went home through Klamath Falls Oregon and spent the night at a motel and went swimming and soaked in the hot tub. We met another older couple staying at the motel who were from Orem and we spent a while visiting with them in the breakfast room.We then drove through Oregon on to Nevada on a road that was totally in the middle of nowhere. There weren't any speed limit signs posted and so we got the Elantra up and running really fast. We spent the night in Elko Nevada and ate at a buffet in Wendover. We got home safe and sound. We had a great time.

50's Car Restaurant

At Florence we went to a Big Boy's restaurant where the main theme was 50's vintage cars. I sat in a replica of one of those cars. We had a great time there.

Down the Coast

We had a wonderful time driving down the Oregon Coast. We went to Tillacom and it was so crowded that we couldn't even get through the line to get an ice cream cone. We took a short tour and some photos and that was it. Then we continued down the coast and saw Canon Beach and Devil's Churn. We drove into the beach town of Newport Beach and looked at all the beach resorts there. We then checked in our motel in Florence Oregon.
