It's Nice to Have a Man around the House

Randy helps me so much around the house. He washed all my windows inside and out and washed all the siding on the house. He cleaned the trailer and washed all the curtains in the living room and the shower curtains in the bathrooms. He is a good helper to me. We just might get married someday if I can figure out my finances so my kids still get everything I want them to.

Miss Him

I do miss my Alex so much. He had so many plans and didn't get to do half of what he wanted here on earth. I am sad that it was raining on Memorial Day and I didn't get to his grave. I plan to go on Father's Day and put something really nice on it. How I wish he could have had more time on this earth. I will always love him. He had so many talents and special traits that were all his own. I miss you honey.

Stupid Computer or Should I say Microsoft

Well I tried to install an new version of Internet Explorer and it really messed up my computer. I tired to fix it myself and was not all that successful so Randy tried to fix it and ended up wiping everything out. I got most of my stuff back but not all of it but at least it runs now.

I have spent the whole day trying to get everything back that I could.

Our Trip and Other Happenings

On May 21, we went to Contessa's graduation. Marty and Cherise were great hosts. We spent the night with our trailer parked in Marty's driveway. After the graduation, we all went to The Olive Garden to eat. Contessa graduated with honors and also got a scholarship to Logan Utah State University. She will live with relatives there while going to school. We are proud of her. We also saw the Fall of Idaho Falls and lots of cute baby geese with their mothers watching close by.

The next day we went to Yellowstone Park. We camped at a KOA in West Yellowstone. We spent that day setting up and swimming and used the hot tub. It snowed a little that day. The next day it was pretty good weather. We went into the park and visited almost all of it. Randy had never been there before. We saw buffalo and cute baby buffalo and elk and a bald eagle in its next way up high. We saw all the geysers including Old Faithful. The blue pools are still my favorite. We saw the stinky mud pots as well. Yellowstone Lake was mostly frozen over. Yellowstone is so different in the cold weather. I was really mad because my digital camera broke when I had only taken a few photos. I had to send it in to get fixed. So I got the chip out and got the ones I did take put on a cd and I have them in this blog.

We spent that night again at West Yellowstone in our trailer and watched DVDS. We ate supper at a Chinese place that was not very good and highly priced.

The next day we headed out to Jackson Wyoming. It had been raining all day and on the way to the Tetons there was still lots of snow and the lakes were frozen. You could not see the tips of the Tetons for the clouds but they were majestic all the same. We spent the night at a KOA in Jackson where it rained all night. I used my Garmin to find the place but I had programmed the wrong address which I got from MapQuest so we had a hard time finding the KOA and Randy got quite upset with me and the Garmin. We camped by the Snake River. The next morning it was nice weather and we went down to the river before heading home to Utah. It was a safe trip and fun but we need to fix the toilet in the trailer as it leaks a little. Randy is so picky about everything; it all must be perfect and so he really takes good care of the trailer and keeps everything so clean.

The Opera

Beverly and I went to an opera in SLC on Saturday. She got free tickets. The opera was Don Giovanni by Mozart. It was about a womanizer who uses women and then leaves them. His theory was that if he is true to one woman, then he punishes the others by not being with them as well. In the end, he gets his come-uppence because he is punished and goes to Hell. Quite an interesting story don't you think?

Mother's Day

I had a nice Mother's Day. I got flowers and a cute photo of Savannah. Monica's family and Tammy's family came and we had a BBQ. And of course John and Kathy were there. I wish my family could visit more often.

This and That and the Cats

Randy got a clean bill of health from the Dr. It was just his diabetes that was the problem. He is having problems with sugar spikes and the medication he was on was causing him to get gas and bad diarrhea. The diabetes was also causing him to lose weight. He is on new meds now so hopefully that will help.

We have a stray cat that has come here and of course Randy has taken to him. He is really cute and is a tabby. He is not neutered and I don't want him in the house. Some of Randy's cats don't have good litter box habits and he I have to clean up urine a lot of the time mostly from Bud and Annie. Things have to change here before I will let him get another cat. But for now the cat is outdoors and Randy visits him on the deck and of course he feeds him so he will probably never leave! We have to buy pads for the places that those two cats urinate and I have found some good odor remover but I am afraid with all these cats that my house and rugs are going to be ruined even though we do clean up after those cats the minute we know anything has happened. I know Randy would probably pick the cats over me if I asked him to get rid of them.

Bud was really sick for a week. He didn't eat or move. He is really skinny and is a very special needs cat. He looks like he should have up and died a long time ago. We both thought he was a gonner and was preparing for his death and deciding where to bury him. Then he slowly got better and is his old weird self again. He really does have nine lives! He still looks so skinny. He is not going easily into that good night.

One Sigh of Relief

Randy's CT scan came back normal. We don't know yet about the blood work they did. He will see the Dr. tomorrow and I hope we find something out then. He is doing much better though.

News

Not much is new. Randy went to the Dr. and had some blood work done. We don't know the results yet. He went yesterday for a CT scan of his stomach. It was sure a mess with his Medicare getting this all approved and stuff. He had so much trouble finding a Dr. He found a Dr. in American Fork and they said they took his medicare but I guess they don't have it set up to do that yet so anyway he had to get another Dr. and so far we really like him. I dread getting on Medicare because of all the hassle it is to go through. I hope we get to the bottom of his medical problems soon however he is feeling pretty good right now.

I hope that we will be going to Idaho and Yellowstone in a couple of weeks.
