Meet Little Guy

Little Guy is a male tabby who just showed up one night at our house. Of course he keeps coming back because he gets the royal treatment here. He has not been neutered. Randy and I both really love him. He's an outside cat most of the time but we let him in now and then.

Cats and Catnip

We got some catnip for our cats and placed it on the scratching board. They all hung around wanting the action.

Happy Campers

We had a good time camping. There were lots of chipmunks and squirrels at our campsite. Randy fed them nuts. He also put up a humming bird feeder and lots of beautiful humming birds came by to drink from it.

Randy and I went camping up at Granite Flats in AF Canyon. It was very beautiful there. We had a good time but the mosquitoes were bad. We have found a new way to take care of them in the future. John and Kathy spent two days with us camping. AF Canyon is close enough for us to go home and care for our kitties too. We went to Silver Lake Flat as well and it was a bumpy rocky dirt road that was 3 miles line but seemed like 30. It was very beautiful there so it was worth it. Kelly came up one night for while to visit us as well.

My Father and My Children's Father

Yesterday was Father's Day. I remember my own father as a very good example for our family. He was a very hard worker and a very dependable person. He taught me to be thrifty and the value of hard work. He took us lots of neat places and played with us as well as worked with us. He set a very good example and I wish I would have followed in his footsteps but I could just never live up to what he was. I loved him very much and it is hard that he is not longer here. He was my rock and my example on this earth. I love you Dad and if anyone was worthy to be in the highest place in the hereafter, it would be you for sure.

I also loved my Alex; the father of my children. He wasn't perfect but he was a very hard worker and very dependable. He had a dry sense of humor. I miss the times we used to travel together; the camping trips, the road trips and square dancing. He left this world very unexpectedly with his untimely death. I miss you Alex and I hope to see you again someday.

Fun Events of Late

Randy and I went to see THE WIZARD OF ODD at the Desert Star Theater. Really funny and the best I have seen so far. We enjoyed pizza and the lots of laughs.

Beverly and I went to see THE KING AND I at the Scera Shell. Very enjoyable although I have seen this many times, I still love this one. The actors, singers and dancers did a really good job.

Happy Birthday to MattieJo

MattieJo had her 4th birthday on the 9th. I can't believe how the time flies and that she is that old already.

Is It Summer or Winter?

With this weather I don't know if it is summer or winter half the time. We have summer-like days and then it's cold again. At least it hasn't snowed lately only in the mountains.

Randy and I took a warm day yesterday and went for a ride up AF Canyon. We are going to camp there in a week and a half. I hope the weather will warm up. We took a drive on the Alpine Loop and went to Cascade Springs as well. It's so beautiful there. We saw a deer right by the road and she looked right at us but didn't stay long enough for me to get her photo.

News

We went this past Saturday to Monica's and Jay's. We went to a piano recital for Lacey. We then had a hamburger BBQ at Monica's. We saw the lambs that the kids raise for 4-H. We then went home through Sardine Canyon. We noticed a noise in the Suburban and we took it to Marty to look at and he found a bearing that was bad so that had to be replaced. We also had to have the toilet and some plumbing fixed in the trailer; so needless to say we have a spent a lot on our toys. I hope everything is fixed now for good or for at least until this summer is over. I got my camera fixed and this is a buffalo we took a film of in Yellowstone.
